Nelida Pohl is a science communicator specialising in environmental sciences and physics. She received a BSc and MSc in Biology from Universidad de Chile, a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from University of California, Irvine, and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College, London. She currently teaches science communication at Universidad de Chile, works as an independent consultant, and at the Millennium Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity. Among other areas she is interested in raising awareness of environmental topics like biodiversity and ecosystem services, the training of new science communicators, reaching new publics, and exploring the intersection between science and art, mainly from the points of view of communication and education.
